The Moment

By Jamir
The Inauguration of Barack Obama has affected many Americans since former president George Bush messed up the economy and the war in Iraq. Barack Obama is like a role model because you can still be a business person but still do your favorite hobbies. President Obama plays basketball just like other people in the United States and just like me. He is my role model and I want to be just like him when I grow up (not exactly like him). I know he can change the economy and the war in Iraq. He can change the United States and we can help him change the United States too.

Barack Obama come to the white house

By Tanisha
On January 20, 2009 Obama was inaugurated into the White House. Though the election seemed hard for him, I knew he was going to make it through and that he was going to be a legend. When President Obama and his wife were walking in the parade, I know he felt proud of himself and his country. I just know that he will put the world first, even at his own risk. Also I think he will give people jobs, so that they can get better paychecks and buy better cars to go to work. In whatever he promised during his speech, I hope that it comes true and that he stays true to his word. Also I would like to say god bless America.

OBAMA MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I watched the inauguration but I only payed attention part of the time. I think the ceremony was okay but it was to long but some of the things he said were good. I'm not sure if my mom watched because I wasn't at home when it was on but if she did I bet she was crying. One thing that stood out to me during the speech is when he was talking about the economy. The economy is very bad right now and lots of jobs are being lost and I think he can make a difference. I think that the country will change a lot one of the things I think he is going to don't is bring the troops home. They are over in Iraq fighting and dieing for nothing and I don't think that is fair to families who have had to say good bye to their loved ones because they are fighting in a war with no purpose. I think Malia and Sasha's outfits were cute I just didn't like the color of Michelle's outfit. I only saw one star at the inauguration and that was Aretha Franklin I didn't even notice who she was until somebody told me.

Obama's Presidency

By John S.
I am so glad that Obama is president. I'm hoping and praying that Obama changes the mistakes that Bush made. Obama is going to fix the economic crisis that is going on right now. Global warming is also a big crisis too, so I hope he fixes that problem too. It might take a few years but I think Obama will change the world and hopefully this war in Iraq will end soon.

Inauguration Response

Okay let me answer these little questions as best as I can, okay here we go. I indeed did watch the Ceremony, seriously who didn't? The Ceremony, itself wasn't bad at all I actually paid full attention which is hard for me to do when something on tv is strictly talking.Again of course my parents saw the thing like I said before who didn't? My mother suspposedly cried during the thing. Don't know if its true or not. I remember the news talking about Michelle Obama's dress. I could care less about those types of things because when you get down to it, what are you worried about more, the lady's dress or what Obama's gonna do for the country? Well those are my general thoughts, hopefully the U.S. can get better within the next 4 or hopefully 8 years.

Barack Obama's Question

I watched the Inauguration at school in the auditorium. I thought the ceremony was cool. And I felt happy because finally we have an African-American for a president. When my parents watched the Inauguration they cried and yelled out Obama's name. My parents felt glad and happy. The important thing I like in the ceremony is that Barack was using president Lincolns bible.

Inuagurual questions

I watched the Inauguration yesterday and thought that the ceremony was very interesting after seeing all those people welcome our new African American President. I was just like wow I couldn't really believe what I was seeing. I think that this event will go down in history forever. Our ancestors were chained up and brought here as slaves and now one of our people is the most powerful man of this Free country. Like Obama said in his speech "less than sixty years ago his father probably wouldn't even be served at a local restaurant." A few years ago a lot of people wouldn' t have expected this to ever happen. I have one conern though I hope that Obama can keep all the promises that he made.
