Allen Iverson

Allen Iverson is finally on a championship team, the Detroit Pistons. The pistons have won the 2004 championship against my favorite team since Shaq was on the team, the Los Angeles Lakers(I hate the Pistons for that). Allen Iverson is one of the best shooting guard I ever seen since Oscar Robertson and Magic Johnson. Iverson first team was with the Philadelphia 76ers. His second was with a trade to the Denver Nuggets for Andre Miller and a draft pick. Now his 3rd and maybe his final team until he gets a NBA championship in another trade for Chauncey Billups and Antonio McDyess, the Detroit Pistons

Beyonce's (Sasha Fierce) CD came out yesterday with her two hits "Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It)" and "If I Were A Boy". So go and get it soon before they sell out.

Librarys could be closed

During this financial crisis Mayor Nutter is suggesting closing the city's libraries to meet budget cut needs. But at the same time, he is trying to open a casino that will destroy the Gallery when The Gallery brings in a lot of money and employs a lot of people in Philadelphia. The library also employs people and people visit the library too. Mayor Nutter is committing political suicide.

New Drama Club!

Mr. Larry McKenna (You can call him Mr. McK)is the new drama teacher. Drama classes are on Tuesdays from 4:00-5:30 this means instead of your regular classes you can take drama on Tuesdays. If you are interested in writing or acting you should come.

A brave new world

Barack becoming president has me thinking I can do anything. The revelation that an African American man has become president has children dropping weapons and picking up books, thinking about their education. It gives children an honest chance to achieve in their dreams and get out of situations that they should not be in. Kids of every color can be what they want all they have to do is go to the library, listen in school and not be afraid to ask for help rather than give up. Also be grateful for what the have and live their life.

Barack Obama

Barack Obama is the first African-American to be elected for President of the United States. I know his grandma and mom are looking down and congratulating him. This makes every African American set their hearts out on what they want to do and not care when people talk negatively to them. Since Barack Obama made history, I want to make history, to be the first African American to find a place where no one else has found (when I'm older).
